Welcome!
Currently this site is under construction, a work in progress to say the least.  This site is dedicated to the music scene of Buffalo and beyond.  Over the last several years I've been fortunate enough to be able to photograph local, regional and national bands that transcend all forms of music.  It is my pleasure to present this site to you.   I particularly specialize in the jam band music scene but do not hesitate to cover those bands that seem to influence a generation.  It has been my goal to capture a moment in time that seems to last forever.  A "freeze frame" that will remind you of  a time that you were at your best as well as the band.  Hope you enjoy the website and I look forward to hearing from you about your concert experiences.
As spring begins to creep it's way back into Western New York flowers begin to bloom.  What a perfect time for a festival that centers itself aroung blooming flowers, so the Lilac Festival was born.  The only 10-day free festival of its kind in North America it is inspired by a magnificent lilac collection at Highland Park that plays host to over 500 varieties of lilacs on more than 1,200 bushes.   What was first planted in 1892 by horticulturist John Dunbar has turned into the world’s largest lilac collection.  There are 10 days of free entertainment on the main stage including performances by national recording artists.   Grand Canyon Rescue Episode opened the day with some outstanding blue grass music folowed by Preston Frank & Big Dady Zyedeco featuring Ed Poullard, also contributing to the band on stage was Jeb Puryear from Donna the Buffalo.  The band not only created a sound that  was truely progressive but held to the real roots of cajun music.  Regadless of the rain that fell throughout the night, the music had everyone up and dancing.  This was followed by a another great performance by Donna the Buffalo.   Donna the Buffalo then hit the stage and left no one disapointed.  The band took the stage as the weather began getting worse.  There set list included Movin' On, Beauty Within, Voice in My Head, Locket and Key, Family Picture, Conscious Evolution, You're Breaking My Heart (Ward Puryear Scrubboard), Blue Sky, Rocking Horse, Love and Gasoline, It's Love Time, Temporary Mercy, Me and Depression, Hot Tamala Baby (Ward Puryear scrubboard and tambourine, Preston Frank voacls and accordian).  This was followed by the encore of No Place Like the Right Time.  This was a tremendous night of music that left no fans walking away disapointed.
